Students at Mount Morgan Central are offered a wide variety of sporting opportunities. All students from Prep to year seven receive weekly Physical Education lessons from a specialist teacher with the Health program delivered by classroom teachers.

Students at Mount Morgan Central participate under the umbrella of the Rockhampton District Primary Schools Sports Association in a variety of sports throughout the year. This involves travelling by bus to Rockhampton to compete against other schools in the region.

During the summer months (terms one and four) we offer both cricket and softball in both junior and senior divisions. The winter program (terms two and three) includes rugby league, netball and soccer competitions, all under the guide of experienced and enthusiastic coaches.

Each year, students are involved in a comprehensive school based swimming program which culminates with our inter-house swimming carnival. A school representative team then competes against other local schools in the Fitzroy Swimming Carnival.

We also run an annual Cross Country event and Athletics Carnival. Selected students who have performed well at these stages have the options to progress through zone, regional, state and even national levels. Our school has a strong tradition in students obtaining selection at these high levels.
