At Mount Morgan Central State School, we believe that students live in a technological world where information and communication technologies (ICTs) are

integral to everyday situations. ICTs include the hardware, software, peripheral devices and digital systems that enable data and information to be managed, stored, processed and communicated.

Students independently and collaboratively work in online and stand-alone environments across a range of learning contexts at our school, and are avid participants in the school’s ICT program. The children are using an interactive whiteboard to develop their skills the digital world. The students enjoy a robotic program were they design and construct robotic vehicles which are program to carryout simple commands. The children are involved with district technology ‘Boot Camps’ were they spend time networking in the technological world with children from various other schools and backgrounds. Mt Morgan students have participated in trips as apart of the ‘girls in ICT’ initiative. All students are encouraged to actively engage with ‘learning objects’. These educational and enjoyable program and readily accessible from every computer in the school network.
