Mount Morgan Central boasts a well equipped and functional library headed by an experienced Teacher Librarian. Students have a weekly library lesson where they are able to borrow and exchange books from a wide variety of topics. Lessons include research based activities and studies of national and international authors.
Students also have access to computers, educational games and resource materials before and after school and during lunch breaks. We have recently linked to AUSTAR’s School Program which allows us to use programs with historical, scientific and geographical content. Teachers are able access resources from our comprehensive teacher reference section including books, DVDs and videos, charts and games. All resources are being constantly updated to keep pace with changing educational needs and trends.
In 2009 the Australian Government announced a huge round of funding for schools as part of a national financial stimulus. As a result of this, Mt Morgan Central State School now has a brand new library facility complete with media rooms, new computer room, conference room, kitchen and expanded library space.
